Does
neoadjuvant versus adjuvant systemic treatment improve outcomes
in breast cancer?
Abstract
Adjuvant
systemic therapy has traditionally been administered postoperatively,
but preoperative (neoadjuvant) therapy is being increasingly utilized.
1 Neoadjuvant therapy has been recommended as standard care for
patients with locally advanced breast cancer, although its role
for operable breast cancer has not yet been clarified. |
